I’m so glad you’re here! I am Liza, founder of Birds & Bobos. Born in the Netherlands, my family instilled in me a deep and early love of design. I grew up going to tradeshows with my antique dealer father, and inherited my mom’s love for all things Home. Birds & Bobos was inspired by and named after my dear grandmothers, Oma Bird and Oma Bobo. It started as a small store selling my vintage finds, and has evolved into a lifestyle platform to inspire and collaborate with likeminded individuals.
My aesthetic is light, white and simple (my friends joke I’m actually scared of color!). I’m passionate about thoughtful sourcing, quality products, natural materials, and blending the old with the new in exciting, authentic ways.
In 2017 my husband Jack and I purchased a charming 1930’s craftsman bungalow in Atlanta and embarked on the biggest design project of our life. It’s been a huge adventure, but we’ve emerged with a light and peaceful home that we adore living in with our kids Nash and Forest and our dog Bear. When I’m not busy sourcing that next special piece for Birds & Bobos, you can find me doing yoga or enjoying a family adventure in our restored Airstream.
